We ask if you can not use a local, please vet the contractor you are considering. 

Verify their licensing with the Louisiana State Board for Licensed Contractors at www.lacontractor.org

Check the online directories of the other 10 Local Home Builders Associations of Louisiana.  They may not be local but may be a member of another HBA.
